Vikki's Tips
2 lbs. ground beef 1 can corn 1 can vegetarian beans 1 can green beans 2 small cans tomato sauce 1-2 c. grated cheddar cheeseBrown ground beef and drain. Add tomato sauce. Pour into casserole dish or crockpot. Add vegetarian beans, corn, and green beans. Mix well. Sprinkle cheese on top. Bake at 350F for approx. 20 minutes, or cook in crockpot on low all day (or at least 4 hours).
Hungry Jack Casserole (categories: ground beef, casseroles, crockpot)
1 lbs. ground beef 1 can biscuits 1 can baked beans 3/4 c. barbecue sauce 2/3 c. shredded cheddar cheesePreheat oven to 350F. Brown ground beef and drain. Mix ground beef, baked beans, and barbecue sauce together and put in casserole dish. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Cut each biscuit in half and place each biscuit on top of casserole all the way around. Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and biscuits are lightly browned. Can be cooked on low all day in crockpot (omit the biscuits).
Italian Casserole (casseroles, ground beef, crockpot)
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef 1 32-oz jar spaghetti sauce 1/3 c. water 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. basil 1 tsp. oregano leaves 1 tsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. pepper 5 medium potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced 8 oz. shredded mozzarella cheeseBrown ground beef and drain. Add spaghetti sauce, water, salt, basil, oregano, sugar, and pepper. Cook two minutes more. In a baking dish or crockpot, evenly spoon 1/3 meat mixture, arrange 1/2 of potatoes on top. Repeat layers, ending w/ meat mixture. Repeat layers, ending with meat mixture. Cover dish tightly with foil (if using oven). Bake at 375F for 1 hour or cook on low in crockpot all day or until potatoes are tender. Remove foil, sprinkle mixture evenly with Mozzarella cheese, bake 10 minutes more, or until cheese melts. (crockpot note: you can add the cheese towards the end, or you can put the cheese in at the same time as the rest of the food.)
